Teachers: Pascal Hersen, Ariel Lindner, Andrew Murray, Claire Ribrault and David Tareste
The course consists in a series of seminars, each prepared by two students from different backgrounds, presenting their review of scientific literature concerning a subject of their choice. The students are expected to prepare a concise review, treating their chosen field from the viewpoint of their disciplines. In addition, the emerging open questions arising from their review will be discussed, and detailed experimental/modeling approaches to resolve these questions will be presented.
Guidelines
- Enter your review title in the AIV moodle not later than two weeks before the start of the trimester.
- Post a Summary of your review (300 words) together with up to three pertinent articles/reviews on the AIV moodle no later than one week before your presentation.- All students (apart from the presenters) should enter in the AIV moodle three resources (articles, internet links) they find pertinent to the subject at hand from their viewpoint no later than three days before the presentation. Effort should be made in order to avoid redundancy.
- Present a succint review on your subject of choice (1 hour), the open question you targeted and your theoretical/experimental approach to address it (30 minutes).
- A short debriefing of the presenters by the AIV teachers will take place after the seminar.
